The Michael A. Gard (MAG) Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2001. The MAG foundation was created in memory of our loving father, Michael Gard, who passed away from colorectal cancer in July of 2000 at the age of 53. Colorectal cancer is one of the most treatable and curable forms of cancer if it is detected early. The mission of this foundation is the prevention and early detection of colon cancer.  This mission is accomplished through a variety of educational programs directed at increasing awareness of colon cancer and through early detection.

The Great Colorectal Cancer Hunt
We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Strides for Life. Strides for Life is a foundation that was created in honor of Dylan Cappel who died of colon cancer at the age of 23. The MAG Foundation and Strides for Life have joined forces to help provide early detection testing to individuals. Our quest begins in San Benito County with The Great Colorectal Cancer Hunt of San Benito County.
